Budget Reduction Plan
The Canton City School District Board of Education is continuing its review of the District’s Budget Reduction Plan. On Thursday, December 18, 2025, Superintendent Talbert presented an overview of the current budget deficit and outlined the primary focus areas under consideration to address the District’s financial challenges.
Families, staff, and community members are encouraged to view the recording of this meeting to gain a clearer understanding of the District’s financial situation and the strategies being evaluated.
The Board of Education will continue work on the Budget Reduction Plan according to the schedule below:

January 5: Presentation of the completed Budget Reduction Plan

January 12: Special Meeting of the Board: Community Feedback Session

January 26: Final Board action and approval
Community input is a critical part of this process. The public is invited to attend the January 5 Board meeting to review the completed Budget Reduction Plan and to participate in the Community Feedback Session on January 12. Both meetings will take place prior to final Board action on January 26.
