Registration
Thank you for your interest in enrolling in the Canton City School District.
Our district utilizes an online registration process (OLR). Please follow the steps outlined below. Don’t forget to check out the FAQs and links on this page for additional enrollment information.
If you need any assistance or have questions, please contact our Student Enrollment Center at 330-438-2525. Our registrars are happy to help you through the process.
Registration Steps:
Step 1: Gather your required documents.
Step 2: Click the link to Infinite Campus OLR. Make sure you select the correct school year.
Step 3: Complete each of the enrollment forms/questions and upload all of the required documents. If you are unable to upload documents, please call the Student Enrollment Center at 330-438-2525 to schedule an appointment to bring in your documents, or for assistance over the phone. We are here to help.
Step 4: Once you have submitted your application, one of our registrars will review and process your enrollment, provided all of the necessary documents have been uploaded.
Step 5: A registrar will either email or call you once enrollment has been finalized with confirmation of the school of enrollment, start date, and information on how to set up your Parent Portal account.
Step 6: Set up your Parent Portal. The parent portal allows you to view your student’s data such as attendance, grades, schedules, etc.
Note: Registrations not completed within 30 days will be deleted.
*If you are currently homeless, living in a shelter, or sharing housing due to the loss of housing, economic hardship, or similar reason, additional enrollment support is available. Please call the Canton City Schools Homeless Services at 330-437-3700 for assistance.

Required Documents:
- Student birth certificate or passport
- Parent/Guardian driver’s license or state issued photo ID
- Immunization records
- Proof of residency - at least one of the following:
- Current mortgage, lease agreement, or real estate property tax bill in the parent/guardian’s name dated within the last calendar year
- A utility bill (gas, electric, water) in the parent/guardian’s name dated within the last 30 days
- A paycheck or pay stub in the parent/guardian’s name dated within the last 30 days and includes the current address
- A Notarized Residency Affidavit: This requires the homeowner/renter to provide the required proof of residency at the time of enrollment. It grants the enrolling parent thirty (30) days to provide the district with a valid proof of residency at that address
- Custody documents, if applicable
- Special education documents (IEP), if applicable

Ohio law requires that students must be 5 years old on or before August 25, 2026 in order to be eligible for kindergarten for the 2026-2027 school year.

Ohio Revised Code 3313.671 requires students to be fully protected against vaccine-preventable diseases. Vaccines necessary for school attendance can be found here:

The student’s legal guardian can register the student. The legal guardian has the authority to make decisions about the person's health, education, and welfare, ensuring they are properly cared for and their needs are met. Refer to the link Enrollment and Custody Questions for specifics on who can register a student.

Students will attend the neighborhood school based on your address. Students are expected to attend their neighborhood school unless they are approved by the district to attend a Choice School. For more information on Choice Schools please refer to the link below or call Student Services at 330-438-2551.
