Department of Human Resources/Diversity, Equity and Inclusion

Our department, in an effort to promote student achievement, strives to recruit, employ and retain the highest quality of certified and classified staff for the Canton City School District. Our office provides assistance for teachers in the areas of licensure, retirement, evaluation, contact interpretation, loan forgiveness, as well as other personnel issues. Our office is responsible for certified and classified job postings, new staff orientation, substitute placement services, maintenance of staff files, supervision of the absence management.

Our goal is to serve as the liaison between the teachers, staff and administration and ensure equitable and inclusive practices across all aspects of the organization. We aim to provide information to our employees regarding district policies and procedures, contract information, legal updates as they relate to education, updates from the Ohio Department of Education and Workforce, as well as changes in certification and/or licensure.
