Youth Programming
Current Offerings
The Canton City School District will be providing a youth volleyball program for students in grades 4-6. The fee is $30 for Canton City School students and $40 for students who attend other schools.
4th Grade:
Mondays, 6:00-7:00 pm
Skill work only. No games.
March 9 to April 27 (No practices March 30 or April 6)
5th and 6th Grade:
Assessments: Monday March 2nd and Tuesday March 3rd, 5:30-7:00.
Practices on Tuesdays, March 10 to April 28 (No Practice March 31)
Games:
March 7 (scrimmages) 10:00 am-1:00 pm

If you have a team from outside Canton City Schools that would like to participate, email Head Volleyball Coach Ashley Stroud (stroud_a@ccsdistrict.org) for details and to be placed on the list.

Our Philosophy
Youth Sports should not be expensive. We are creating high quality opportunities for all of our students to participate at low cost to our families and for spectators. No large registration fees or $20 tournament tickets. We will not allow high prices to keep our students from exploring the positive outcomes of youth sports participation.
Youth Sports should not involve constant travel. Why drive hours away every week? Stay home with family. Everything you need, and more, is available in Canton. Our leagues will be competitive and well run. The best will want to come here to play.
Youth Sports should not be forcing your children to “specialize” with year round time commitments, or to stop an activity they enjoy because of a lack of training opportunities. We are creating high quality opportunities for all of our students to participate and enjoy as many different sports as they care to. We schedule and plan our leagues so that all interested athletes can participate in multiple sports.
