NIL Reporting
NIL Reporting Procedures
Students and their families must complete the following steps for themselves, but we are always available to help talk you through anything that may be confusing or unfamiliar.
Never enter into any agreement without first understanding what will be required of you or your child and any tax implications to you or your family.
STEP 1
Once a student enters into an NIL agreement, the student and his/her family have 14 days to report the agreement to the OHSAA via their reporting platform (See Step 3).
Please ensure the agreement does not require the student to violate any provision within Bylaw 4-11-2.
STEP 2
The student AND a parent must complete the Affirmation page and have the document notarized by a legal notary.
STEP 3
Gather a copy of the notarized Affirmation page, ALONG with a full copy of the NIL agreement.
Complete the reporting requirements at the following link, and be prepared to upload a copy of the affirmation page and the NIL agreement.
